Joanna "Jo" Graves Concept

We haven't officially started working on this new comicbook series (which we will work on with P.R.Soliver) , I'm still figuring out the best way to start the story, and this concept image is part of that. From one side I have the perfect "in medias res" scene where I would like to throw the reader into, but on the other hand the events in this scene are very special, so I want the reader also to feel the importance, which they can't do if they are just meeting the characters. So, it seems it will have to be some combination of a prolonged sequence with flashbacks. I think it will work qiute good. And yes, there will be rain and mud. ;)
