Work In Progress... Mrs.G Goes Wild

As mentioned previously, currently we are working on the fourth Mrs.G comic. To give you idea of how we work in the background you can see a small excerpt of the script as I give it to P.R.Soliver. In some cases I search for reference images on web, like in this case I added reference images for the body position of Mrs.G, and reference image for Jerome. On top of it you can see part of the first rough sketches Pedro returns to me, based on the script. He is so very good -  he gets what I meant and adds his ideas to it, so my comments and notes are minimal. In addition, he needs to think about the speech baloons - to do the composition in such way that there will be a place on the page for them. Then on base of this we get to penciling phase, where everything is drawn beautifully and the background is added, and after the final changes, Pedro finishes with the inking of the pages. When the inked page is finished, it is sent to a colorer - who first does  coloring of the page (flat coloring, then adding of shades/highlights). Because it is done digitally the colors are added "bellow" the inks.  I will post an example of how this is done in some following post. In the end, when coloring is done, the speech balloons and the text are added. I like to add those by myself, or at least edit them, because the initial text often doesn't quite fit the action in the panel, as I was imagining. And also... what is happening on the page often gives me better ideas about how the dialog might go.
